Opportunity: Volunteers needed!
The AFGE National
Citizenship and Immigration Services Council (NCISC)
is requesting volunteers to apply for
consideration for appointment to the three
vacant Vice President at Large (VPAL)
positions as specified in Article VII of the
NCISC Constitution.
Currently, the vacant VPAL positions are as
follows:
1. VPAL, assistant to Regional Vice
President, Central Region.
2. VPAL, assistant to Regional Vice
President, Western Region.
3. VPAL, Assistant to the President;
training and
communication.
Block official time is not currently available
for these appointed positions, so reasonable
official time will need to be requested on a
form G-826, on a case-by-case basis, for
specific representational activities. Council
President will assist with such requests.
Candidates must have following qualifications:
1. Be an employee, or retiree, of the US
Citizenship and Immigration Services
bargaining unit represented by NCISC
2. Be a member in good standing in an AFGE
local union affiliated with NCISC
3. Be a member for one year of an AFGE
local,
4. Not be a member in any labor
organization that is not affiliated with the
AFL-CIO.
5. VPAL assistant to a Regional Vice
President must be employed within or retired
from the same USCIS Region.

describing why they wish to be considered, to
