The AFGE
National Citizenship and
Immigration Services Council (NCISC)
is requesting volunteers to apply
for consideration for appointment
to the vacant position of Vice
President at Large (VPAL)(Eastern
Region).
Block official time is not
currently available for this
appointed position, so reasonable
official time will need to be
requested on a form G-826, on a
case-by-case basis, for specific
representational activities. (The
Council President will assist with
such requests, if necessary.)
Candidates must have following
qualifications:
1. Be an employee, or retiree,
of the US Citizenship and
Immigration Services bargaining
unit in the Eastern Region (SE or
NE).
2. Be a member in good standing
of an AFGE local union affiliated
with NCISC.
3. Be a member of an AFGE local
union for at least one year .
4. Not be a member in any labor
organization that is not
affiliated with the AFL-CIO.
5. Have
experience representing employees
and/or the union before an
agency.

describing why they wish to be
